For some reason, Little J started obsessing over dinosaurs, just out of the blue! So, I took that opportunity to set up some activities for him around that theme during the last week of January.
I always struggle to find activities for him. So having a theme to work off of made things so much easier!
Finding dinosaur-themed activities was definitely easy. Pinterest is a goldmine. However, the key was finding activities that Little J was going to enjoy.
He’s been having a little difficulty focusing on activities he used to really like (colouring, puzzles, etc.). So it was a great way for me to test the waters and see what kind of activities I should be focusing on at this stage of his development.
Little J had a blast with the following 5 dinosaur toddler activities. Plus they require very minimal prep!
1. DINOSAURS IN LAVA | Modern Preschool
This activity was such a hit! Little J played with it for at least 30 minutes and asked for more!
2. CLOUD DOUGH DINOSAUR ARCHEOLOGY | Busy Toddler
Little J loved, loved, LOVED digging for hidden dinos!
3. DOT STICKER PAGE | The Measured Mom
The Measured Mom offers these free printables on her website. It was a perfect pre-daycare activity!
4. FROZEN DINOSAUR EGGS EXCAVATION | Little Bins for Little Hands
This activity definitely tested Little J’s patience, but he managed to get to the dinos out of the frozen eggs and really enjoyed playing with the ice!
5. DINOSAUR FOSSILS | Messy Little Monster
This easy salt dough activity was a great way to entertain him while I was prepping supper!
There you have it! Hope your little enjoys these activities as much as mine did!
