If there’s one thing I hate, is for my toddler to just be wandering around wondering what to do.
I know, I know…it’s important for them to be bored. But when he’s bored, he sticks to me and starts whining. So yes – I try to find him things to do in those moments because most of the time, if I’m not playing with them it’s because I have things to get done around the house.
That’s when balloon dancing usually takes place.
But what is balloon dancing you ask?
It’s very simple. blow up a balloon and blast some music.
The goal is for your toddler to toss the balloon in the air and keep it up without it touching the ground for as long as possible.
The best part about this activity is that it can be adapted to any number of kids that you need to entertain.
Benefits of this activity:
- gets them moving and blow off some steam
- develops their hand-eye coordination
- turn it into a rhythm activity by teaching them how to count the music
- gets them off your back – need I say more?…
This can keep my little guy entertained for a good amount of time. This is another one of my go-to activities. It takes less than 5 minutes to setup and it’s guaranteed fun for a good chunk of time!
