Over the Family Day weekend, hubby and I took the kids to Montreal to visit my family. While we usually enjoy some quiet time at home, we decided to take the opportunity to use our Ingenium Canada Pass and head over to the heart of Montreal’s Old Port to visit the Montreal Science Centre.

We absolutely LOVE our pass. Little J and I share a birthday month, so we received it as a combined birthday present from family. So we were thrilled to be able to use it while we were visiting Montreal.

I admit that we were a little apprehensive at first given that the Centre mainly targets kids ages 4 and up. But we decided to head over anyways, simply to expose them to something new. And of course, we didn’t go without figuring out our game plan!

We were taken aback by how hands-on all the exhibits are! Plus, there were things that both our 8 month old and almost 2.5 year old were able to enjoy!

We unfortunately didn’t get to do the whole thing, but check out a selection of the activities within the three zones that our littles had fun exploring!

1. Clic! Kids Area

There’s a whole area just for kids between 4 and 7, but really, it appealed to both our young kids. They didn’t want to leave!

2. Human Permanent Exhibit

This zone is incredibly hands-on and explores the ins and outs of the human body. It was so well done, we were having a blast too!

3. Science 26

We didn’t catch it at the time, but this zone focuses on 26 different experiments dominated by each letter of the alphabet! Another interactive environment that the kids had a blast exploring!

There was so much more to do, but our little ones still need their afternoon naps. So we will definitely be going back!

I highly recommend the visit on your next trip to Montreal!
