What better way to kick off Spring with 3 simple activities to do with your 10 month old!

I find that putting together activities for Little N needs to be quick and easy because most of the time, he’ll only end up playing with it for a maximum of 15 minutes. But I guess that’s plenty for his little growing mind!

The following three Spring activities can all be put together with items from the dollar store. But if you can’t get yourself out there and still want to try them out, I’ve dropped some affiliate links (*) for you so you can prepare them from the comfort of your home.

I’m excited for Spring to finally be here. I can’t wait for all this snow to melt and finally start doing outdoor activities without having to put on 20 layers! But I digress…

So without further ado, here are three 10 month old Spring baby activities that you can setup in less than 5 minutes.

1. Miniature Pond

Little N loved playing with this one! He absolutely adores playing with water, so this was a no-brainer for me. I knew that even if he didn’t want to play with the rocks and the flower that he would at least enjoy splashing the water around.

Plus, this was a great sibling activity when Little J came home from daycare!

What you’ll need:

The setup:

  1. Place your towel in an area where water won’t cause any damage. We setup our activity on the ceramic kitchen floor.
  2. Fill your container with about 3 inches of water and place it on your towel
  3. Drop your river rocks and place your floating water lily into your pond
  4. Start your music and let your baby enjoy the sensations!

2. Bird Garden

I first got this idea after I picked up a word book from Costco. I was trying to come up with baby activities for each word and that’s how this activity came about! B for Bird – I had to do something with feathers!

What you’ll need:

The setup:

  1. Place the birds and the flowers in separate containers
  2. Play the background music and let your baby enjoy the sensations!

**Caution: Make sure this activity is supervised at all times to avoid choking from the birds or flowers.

3. Easter Teaser

This last baby spring activity should get you and your babe into the Easter spirit. Little N is still too young for chocolates, but he was definitely interested in the shapes of the eggs and the softness of the bunny! He also loved running his fingers through the shredded paper.

I setup this activity with foam eggs, but highly discourage it because Little N was constantly biting into them and biting pieces off. Not. Safe.

What you’ll need:

The setup:

  1. Place your paper into the container and lay eggs on top.
  2. Setup the bunny next to the container and let your baby explore the different materials

**Caution: Make sure this activity is supervised at all times to make sure baby doesn’t eat the paper.

So there you have it! These simple Spring activities for babies are sure to please your little one.
